Today I share with you my Ojas Juice recipe, a juice made with nuts, almonds, dates, and ghee, that deeply nourishes us and strengthens our immune system.
According to Ayurveda, Ojas is vigor, life energy, plenitude. When we have a good amount of Ojas running through our body, we feel whole, stronger, with great immunity and vitality, our mind is clear and we experience a delicious sensation of contentment.
The recipe of the Ojas Juice is:
10 almonds (raw)
5 cashew nuts (unsalted)
1 brazil nut
4 dates (without the seed)
1 teaspoon of brown sugar (organic)
1 teaspoon of ghee
1 cardamom pod (without the shell)
1 glass of warm water
Immerse the nuts, almonds, walnuts and the dates in water for approximately 1 hour. Remove the water and place all the ingredients (including the sugar, ghee, cardamom and the water) in a blender. Mix everything for a few minutes. Enjoy it!
- if there is too much toxins present in your body, it's better to avoid drinking this juice until your body is free of toxins again (you can see the presence of toxins watching your tongue - if your tongue is clear, you're good to drink the Ojas Juice; if your tongue has a white or yellowish coat on it, it's sign of toxins);
- vegans can replace the ghee for olive oil, or just make the juice without any oil.
